| I bought this fix i tired this on 20 xbox's 10 of them had 0102 and the other 10 had 0020. i figured out that error 0020 can be caused by too much pressure by the heatsinks which can bend the motherboard slightly, or it can be caused by a piece of tin foil which M$ for got to take of the heat sink thermal compound. and error 0102 is usualy caused by a bad gpu connection to the motherboard. so the new pressure from this fix and the heat from after you install it can cause it to melt back. Also if you do this fix make sure to do the penny fix. which is tape up two pennies with electrical tape so no copper is showing then super glue then to the ram chips at the bottom of the motherboard which you can locate around the gpu. but if you ever open your 360 do the 12 volt fan mod. may be loud but you will never ever get 3 red lights. Only if you don't already have red lights:laughing: but all in all this should do the trick if not buy a new 360 at gamestop and open it make sure you hair dry the sticker then take the new 360 motherboard out switch the motherboard stickers. then put broken motherboard back in then bring it back to gamestop and say i got 3 red lights ![]() ps: i don't recommend that last suggestion | ||||||

WHY would you tape/glue pennies to the RAM to fix a GPU failure? The proper fix is already listed in the FIRST POST of this section. Doing the xclamp fix, applying better thermal paste, and the 12vfanmods should be ALL you need to do to fix your 360. EDIT: You know what...fux it. I'm tired of seeing stupid-as$ suggestions for an already thorough fix. Follow the tutorial, and if you have the real RRoD, this WILL fix it. DO NOT glue pennies to your motherboard. DO NOT set your xbox on a cardbard box. That is about as trailer-park as you can get. Take the time, and actually FIX your xbox right. If you're not gonna do it right, then you might as well not even bother. Pennies. Jesus H. Tapdancing Christ... THREAD CLOSED Last edited by digitalhigh; 04-11-2008 at 01:44 PM. | ||||||
