How To PERMENATELY Fix The RROD

People like me, who had flashed there firmware.

it doesnt always fix it the first time of over heating the GPU it. Some consoles are stubborn. like mine was VERY VERY Stubborn cuz it was used a lot. Just tighten and re heat and make sure you put the fan over the cpu heatsink so that stays cool, but so the gpu gets really hot

now i get a new error scar. the lights are now 4-4-1-1 what does that mean?

This DOES work, i just did it less than 6 hours ago, and it repaired the rrod. Im guessing it will not come back since it was repaired at the first sign of the rrod, and not after the towel trick stopped working.

If you cant get this to work you are either
A)Not following the tutorial correctly, read it carefully. If you don't pay attention you could miss a crucial step.

B)You did the towel trick instead of doing this method at the first sign if the rrod, the towel trick will just make the problem come back, and it will be even harder to fix.

c)Your box can't be fixed.

Great tutorial, working perfectly, did this fix immediately after the rrod happened, didn't do the towel trick(which makes the problem worse). Been running for 6+ hours, no problems as of yet. I use nylon washers instead of metal ones though.

im not sure what to do... becoz i got RROD for like 40 mins
but then it worked for like 20 again but my game glitches and then stops about 5 times then rrod again. You think i should do this now/? or when its dead entirely.. btw i already voided warrantty so F**K Ms

• though it's most likely GPU related literally means the console does not know what is wrong. possibly a short or cold solder joint somewhere. So far there is 1 major theory for what causes most of these errors is that the Ram, CPU, or GPU are not soldered properly to the mother board due either to poor manufacturing or excessive heat up and cool down cycles that stress, weaken and eventually break the soldered connection.
  There are two theories to fixing this one deals with the "X" clamps that hold down the chips. The other involves re-Heating the chips. DO NOT attempt either of these if your console is still under warranty. If your console is still under warranty return it to the store where it was purchased or call MS to have it replaced. I have also heard of limited success by simply switching the AV cable from "HDTV" mode to "TV" mode.

Just completed this fix and it seems to have fixed the three red light problem

However, my xbox screen now freezes whilst playing a game, usually within 5mins of starting the game. Any ideas about how to get rid of this problem? Anyone had the problem before after completing this fix?

i got 4 lights instaed of 3 but i think its easier to just send it in and wait(bigdeal) and they send you a brand new one (well thats what they did to me) hey 3 weeks of waiting is worth a new one
