How to mod Halo 2 on Xbox 360 Tutorial

First off download Xplorer360 from here RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting

Connect your 360hard drive to your PC via XSATA or SATA to USB adapter.

Go to Xplorer360 and select Drive > open > harddrive or memcard

Click the image to open in full size.

Click: Partition 3 >> compatibility >> Xbox1 >> TDATA >> 4d530064 >> $C , now it should look like this

Click the image to open in full size.

Now go through all 3 folders and copy the .map files to a folder on your PC by right clicking and selecting extract

Click the image to open in full size.

Now you should have all your maps copied to your PC, you should now follow other tutorials on this site about how to mod the maps.

once you have them modded just go back to the 3 folders, right click and select insert file then find your modded map and overwrite the clean one.

Hope this helps,

Maybe the title should be changed. This is showing how to "FTP" to the maps. Still very good information.

No, it's good. It will get people to read it and get started. The only thing I might add is a link to my modding tutorial so people can then modify the maps once they get them on their computer. And then they can xfer them back over to their 360.

Very good information...now I just have to save this link so I can send it to everyone that sends me a PM asking how to do this...

You won't get your EEPROM banned on a 360 unless you flash the DVD-ROM drive, or pop it open and do something to the motherboard (ie, install a modchip)

But modding new maps or messing around with the HD won't get you banned from anything but H2 matchmaking.

Plus, if XBL tries to ban you, just say it's no different than using Action Replay on an old XBox.

You can buy XSATA its a connection kit that goes inbetween the 360 and your hard drive, or you can open the harddrive case and hook it up to your PC with a SATA cable on your motherboard

Yeah, it's pretty easy.
The XSATA has a USB Mini-A plug on the back that you hook a USB cable into, and plug the other end of the USB cable into your computer.
