iXtreme 1.6 Activate.iso Tutorial (Pics)

Im not sure. Some take a long time, while others dont take long at all. It might just be the fact everyone has a different burner.

Hi...

I am trying to play Ballad of Gay Tony without success. I have a Lite-on drive with v.16 FW.

My activate disc shows the "Put it in an Xbox 360" message indicating, as you said, that the disc has burned correctly. But after ejecting the disc and putting in Ballad, the 360 reads and just says "Play DVD" and shows the Xbox 360 logo.

What could be wrong? The friend who burnt the disc says he may have burnt it on two layers. But as your tutorial says, if that message appears, that means it has burnt correctly. Would the message appear if the activate disc was burned on two layers?

Would really appreciate any help.

You need a flashed xbox.

Its weird, sometimes it takes me $5 minutes to burn the disk with verification totalling 5 mins, but sometimes verification takes like 20 mins, exact same disks....anybody know why that it?

Im having the same issue. Using 1.6 on a Lite-On drive. Burned the activate iso a bunch of different ways. And it shows up with the screen saying put in an xbox 360. But when I eject and insert GTA or Tekken 6, it still says Play Dvd. So not working. Is it possible the activate iso is showing the correct "insert disc" screen, but is a bad burn somehow? Thats the only thing I can think of. Either that or its a problem with my Lite-On Jasper combination. Im burning it on Phillips DL at 4x (lowest it will go). Tried buring it on 1st layer, and both layers. I know the media works, as I have many games on this media, and never had any problems.

I have jasper with liteon 1.6 as well and i have the same problem u have.

When games come up as "Play DVD" Its one of two things.
1. Your 360 drive lacks your DVD Key.
2. You did not set the layerbreak when burning. Or you did not select the .dvd file instead of the .iso.

If it doesnt have the dvd key doesnt that mean the normal games that you buy and other burnt games dont work? My burnt cod5 works fine.
2.I always set the layer break and even if you select the .iso in imgburn it switches it to the .dvd.

Yes if you did not spoof the key over to the modded firmware your 360 will show all games as DVD's. Retail and Burned.

If you set your layerbreak and you are sure your dvd key is in the firmware flashed to the drive. Then its just a bad backup.

Thats what im saying, my other burnt games and real games load perfectly, just when i try to play wave 4 i get the play dvd when using activate.iso

And if its just a bad backup i have 8 mw 2 bad backups rofl.

If it only happens on Wave 4 games. Then its a problem with the activate.iso.
If you can reburn it and try again.

I have 2 activate isos already, one with layerbreak set to 1913760, and another one set to calculate optimal. and could it be a problem im not burning in 2.4x? In imgburn the lowest it will let me set it is 4x.

Really? Thats weird.. I guess your burner doesn't support 2.4. The only thing i can think of at this point. Is that the activate.iso file you are burning is corrupted. Or while burning it is making a mistake.

Well the activate.iso file i linked to has been downloaded 1000+ times, and no one has complained so im pretty sure its good.

I used the activate.iso in zygos thread, and my burner is hp and i got it at walmart, but ive burned 10 or so games that have worked fine.

Files can corrupt while downloading. They can also corrupt while unpacking from a rar file.

Im not saying your source is corrupted. Just saying it may have corrupted somewhere down the line.
