Props to the tutorial Carson. However, I did not come here to use it, but to ask a question/address a problem, one which I hope somebody can answer.

So, as is already apparent, I use the Profile Editor. Not that it means anything, but I hardly ever use it for my XBL account. I do use it for friends in abundance (which is also irrelevant). Anyway, I use the tool to unlock petty Achievements: glitched ones, ones that save me time, et cetera. Initially, it worked fine. But nowadays, when I use it, my profile acts very strangely. Like, I use the tool to unlock one Achievement, then get my profile back onto my console. But when I start playing again, all the Achievements I unlock normally do not register for some reason. Like, they will show up under my Gamerscore on my account, but will not show up on Xbox LIVE, or when other people view my profile. And, when I recover my profile after this happening, my Gamerscore is reset to whatever it was before I unlocked all the legit Achievements. And I know I'm doing everything correctly, for the most part (copying profile to PC, changing Achievements in PE and saving, calculating hash blocks and making sure they're all true, waiting some time before connecting to Xbox LIVE with the profile subsequent to modding it, et cetera). But what I don't know is why I'm having this issue.

Or is it normal for that to happen? Do the achievements register after a long period of time or something? Because I never experienced that, nor do the friends of mine that I hack for either.

You can get if from there, there, or there.

And any operating system will serve you well in using the Profile Editor.

i open mi HD but now the xbox cannot recognize them, when i put the HD in the pc i cant see all but the xbox cant now recognize the HD, can someone help me i dont make a Backup because im a n00b...

to anyone trying to hack achievements IT DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE!!!!!
i have been hacking for about a year now and in the past month it has
been stopped by ms via an update trust me when i say dont even attempt
to do it anymore, well u can if you want a banned xbox 360, If by any chance
someone thinks they can still do it i would like to kno!!!

When I go to inject my profile back in my harddrive with Xplorer360 It freezes there and then to where I will never get the profile on the hard drive again? Could anyone explain or help?

I use Xport 360 for my 120gb harddrive and I get the modding part (or at least I think I do) but when I go to drag and drop my modded profile back into my harddrive, it wont let me, it keeps popping up the circle with a line through it. If anyone could give me some advice, I'd appreciate it.

Also, If you've never done it before you won't know how to get stuff off of your HDD.

Just because it doesn't help you anymore doesn't mean you have to be mean about it... There are new people to the modding world everyday that need help with this kind of stuff. Close this thread, and I'm sure you'll be the one complaining about all the 'noobs' starting new threads (cluttering the forums) asking for help

However I think locking and sticky'ing might be a good idea... It IS a Grade A tut if I must say so myself.

Turn off UAC....Guessing your running Vista or W7

Start>Control Panel>In the search box type in UAC>turn off...it may say for you to restart your computer....after you do that then your good to go.

hey carson, its a great tut, but i have one problem you may know how to fix it? alot of other peaple have had it to. when i go to view my achievements the game icons are messed up, some of them have my friends avatars pics and recent players, some of them are even blank.. any help on this? thanks alot

I'm kinda wondering about something. Say I haven't played a game in a week, but I modded a cheevo offline, then update it to live. Is this risky this way? I was thinking the least risk would play a game for say 1/2hour offline then mod the cheevos in that timeframe then go online?

Basically if M$ sees you havenf t played a game in a month then suddenly it updates earned offline cheevos, but you have been online since you played?

Nope, not that I know of, I just used it yesterday and I haven't got any updates so it should be working.

Hey, whenever I connect my HDD to my laptop, I see partitions 0, 2 & 3. 3 should be the xbox HDD, but whenever I click on it, there's no data. Partition 2 has data on it, but it's not xbox related - what gives?

My friend told me that your xfer cable only works once (I bought a 120GB HDD last xmas and used the cable once to xfer from the 20GB to the 120GB, that's it) - is this true?

Edit: Ok, so Partition 2 looks to have xbox related material on it, but I only have 1 file and 2 folders:
index (file)
TDBX (folder)
Compatibility (folder)

In each of the folders, there are only a couple files - nothing that looks remotely similar to what is in the pictures posted on pg. 1. Any suggestions or help? Thanks.

That's usually what I'll do. When I do a LOT of hexing achievements (around 1000 GS, I don't go too crazy...), I usually will do it before I go out of town for the weekend. That way I'll have been offline for a few days. I don't think it looks as suspicious as signing off for five minutes and getting 60k GS...
