Your old Gamertag probable had something that was or could be something thats not allowed in a Gamertag. Plus I never report someone's Gamertag when they ask me..

Some ppl just have lots of ppl report it and it works even if there name is FluffyBunny. I have gotte mine changed once this way but it took like a week of asking every1 i played games with.

You can't still do this I read someone asking at the Xbox.com forums and a staff member responded saying that each unique complaint is reviewed by a human.
