When you use the towel trick, you're damaging your ENTIRE unit.
You're basically putting heat and stress on the motherboard and all the circuits inside that doesn't need it.

DON'T DO THIS.
It really fucced up my graphics chip and now when i turn on my system...it's just blank but i can hear the start up noises....

my friend had this and he tryed this method did everthing , watched a tut on youtube and microsft took it and rang him up said they couldnt do anything because it looked like it had been tampered with inside... presumably because of this method? or maybe not but it was only 2 weeks old brand new and had not done anything to it, barely had time too... it was first hand aswell... this is not a good idea ... especially since it only lasts for 5 days

I got the 3rrod last nite and I just turned my system off for 5 minutes and started playing again, so far so good ,I wnt 5 hrs of playing and watching movie on my system and nothing went wrong.
