If they find out any evidence of the towel trick, they will charge you for the repair...it is better just to send it in for repair, the towel trick isn't worth it.

Well, yeah, but not MANY ppl would do this, although it would be a funny story... Thx Carson and superaison, couldve used this when i had to return my last 360.

This happened to me, i just turned the xbox off, and in the morning turned it on again.. wollaahh, it was perfectly fine.. my xbox is still working fine..

Their is other ways to fix it, but it also might void your warranty, but i would guess you guy don't care

Mine did this like a week ago and mines still working, iv kept it on for more than 12hrs each day since then too, yay, mines fine!

It does work... I just don't recommend it. You obviously did something wrong; look at all the reports of success.

no i did it right..its only a short term fix for the most part..
