rehash and resign

i only really decided to look into modding saves yesterday as i wanted to tinker with my borderlands character. i got all the software and stuff needed but i'm just a bit confused as to what i need to do in regards to rehash and resigning the saves.

i've spent a fair bit of time searching on these forums and googled it but couldn't find anything that really explained what i need to do. is there anywhere on here i missed or anyone know a tutorial i could use?

modio is an all in one that has a good resigner and rehasher but when it comes to rehashing large files use hash block calculater.

the bit i'm confuzzled on though is what i have to do. i've got a load of software that i've seen people recommend on here but it he actual rehash and resign that fathoms me.

you drag the save into the program and hit a button and your done.
