Modding questions

I have been reading the forums for several hours now and been looking for answers to some questions I have about modding my xbox and the do's/dont's.

My first unanswered question is would it be posible to buy a retail copy of oblivion and some how add mods that are availible for the computer version of the game?

I know people will probably say just get the computer version but... honestly I dont like rpgs on PC...

I have also read a post on someone with a similar question as mine... the answer they recived was they would need to rip the game to there PC insert the mods like you would on the computer version.... burn a new copy and then play that...

as from my point of view im in the dark about the whole thing because I dont know how to properly stealth a game, burn a game, or rip a game, or well even connect my xbox to my pc... I have read all about it but I do not talk about things when lacking the actual hands on experiance.

another question that always comes up is whats the chance of getting banned for the stuff stated above?

I fully understand that there is a chance that I will get banned and I accept that 100% and altho it would suck life would go on... but oblivion is a mostly singleplayer dont need the internet game anyways... plus its an older title... from what ive read tho dont seem like that has anything to do with Bans and well either way its just a shot in the dark at this point but I will be painting and adding some windows today.

any help on these questions would be great... but either way I plan on opening my box and cutting some holes in it and doing mods to the actual looks... so As I CUT the warrinty seal with pride ill check back for answers on what else I can do while im inside.

You cannot add mods directly to the game, unless you burn the game yourself, which in turn requires a flashed Xbox 360 to play. And even so, I'm not sure Oblivion can be modded like this (ISO modding). To simplify though, you will never be able to mod like how you can on the pc.

Stick around for a few months, learn your xbox skills. I understand it now, after two months. I had no clue how to open a Xbox when I started. Don't be afraid to ask questions as you are doing now.

It depends on the game and whether or not it is online. Since Oblivion does not have multiplayer, there is no way to be reported for it. And as long as you have a good burn, if you ISO modded, you will be fine.

Okay.....Thanks for letting us know, lol? As for the singleplayer, you are right.

Thanks for the help... My xbox is all the way apart at this stage... I got some lexan paint and some other misc. tools to complete stage 1 of my mod...

I have been looking into adding the LED's and such but im not that great with solder so im not sure if I will get to that on this time.. but I am sure before this weekend is open I will have it ready for LED's to be installed and well I should have some pictures of it up by this sunday...

Also I have no fear with flashing my drive looks simple enough with the proper tuts just I have never done it so I dont want to sound like a know it all when well I dont know crap (experiance wise)

No problem. You can always use someone else's service to mod your xbox, if you want. Not necessary but could help.

Well The mod seems to be comming along niceley... I have took some pictures along the way I figure ide post them to see what people think... Keep in mind this is my first attempt....

Anyways I like it so far and if everything goes to plan I will probably use these pics to make a tutorial for others to mod theres...

The paint kinda just looks black or purple but its actualy color changing paint at differnt angles it looks Red/Blue

I am probably going to order my LED's on monday or some time tonight so that I can light up the X with some green LED's
