Cannot get windows to recognize BenQ.

Using windows 32, have portio installed, unflashed benq drive. I am using a laptop, have this China wholesale product -china wholesale products card installed. I followed a tut I found on xbox360iso regarding this card, I have all of the correct drivers for the card.

Jungleflasher was not showing the drive in the io port. The sata card is recognized in the drop down, but there is no drive associated with the port.

I then tried using Xtractor, it also didn't see the drive.

Where do I go from here?

Just use Slax2.0 to get into mode b.

Uhh. Its a benq.

OP your might have the wrong VIA drivers. Go into your device manager and make sure it says VIA6421 RAID Controller

Might also try dosflash32 it seems to work alot easyer then jg but you still have to make the firmware in jungleflasher.

Yanno I just spent the last 1/2 hour trying to find the driver.. The disk they sent me was ****, and there is no manufacture info whatso ever on the card, and I threw the box away.

You are a life saver, thank you.

Eh, still not working. My driver is correct in the device manager, did a reboot. Drive is still not detected.

I had an easier time soldering a chip into my original xbox. lol

try dosflash32 i flashed a benq fast and easy with it from a internal via card tho not a laptop.

MTK vendor mode is still failing. Let me ask you a question about vendor mode.. To open the dvd drive, do I need to take apart the dvd drive, or can I just turn the xbox on while holding it open (causing a flashing green light on the front of the xbox?)

After typing "y", and pressing enter, I unplugged and replugged the power from the drive. It hangs at "status: 0x52"

EDIT: Status: 0x51*

Modz, in that driver you sent me, what folder is the correct driver in? The setup file isn't working.

Got the setup to work, let me see if it makes any difference.

Nope, nope difference. Anyone have a firearm I can use to shoot myself in the fu*king face?

im pretty sure for your card you need drivers called via 530 revision c, i got this link for your convenience.

and i dont have a gun sorry

(you will need to force install)

Ok new plan. Turn xbox off and on with power button. If tray closes then just keep power cycling it.

have you tried just using dosflash32 to unlock it when i flashed my benq it unlocked it for me i didnt have to have tray open or anything.

I broke down and paid someone to do it, ef it. I wish I had a desktop right about now.
