It's good that you also indicated the wire colors to indicate the difference between the BenQ and Phillips since the disc tray looks just about the same. Nice work.

You mean difference between a BenQ and a Lite-on. Both drives are made by Phillips.

Hmm, My other box has 1 white wire and 1 red, any ideas? It's like 3 years old, still running somehow.

Ahh, Disk tray looks like toshiba.

Hey everybody, have something interesting here, I bought a 360 the other day and took off the face plate to check the wires, and there are none, regularly this would obviously be a Hitachi but the tray looks like a Philips, I dont have time to take it apart right now so any input would be appreciated. Btw the 360 manufacture date is 6/2009 if that helps any. Thanks for reading!

i have a black plastic thing (the one the pic is pointing to), but inside it is a yellow wire/cable thing.
