I am going to be getting an xbox from my friend and I want to mod it to play burned games and stuff like that. I'm pretty sure he has a Hitachi drive. I just have a few questions though.

1. What is the skill level in modding a 360?
2. Is what your doing while modding it is modding the firmware to play burned games?
3. What is the overall cost in modding a 360?
4. Can you play on Xbox live with burned games, such as Gears of War 2?
5. What is the possibility of being caught if number 4 is possible?
6. What are the consequences of being caught if 4 is possible?
7. What all do you need for modding? Ex. tools, software, etc.
8. Were can I download 360 games from?
9. How long does it take to complete the mod?
10. Does it matter what kind of drive you have (Hitachi, Benq, Samsung) when it comes to modding it?
11. Does modding it increase your chance of getting RROD?
12. Does this void your warranty?
13. Does it matter what kind of disks I burn the games on?
14. Do I need a special burner on my PC to burn the games?
15. Would I download a 360 ISO and burn it to a disk?
16. What program would I use for burning the ISOs?
17. Can you download and burn any game to play?
18. Can you rip games to your computer and burn them to a disk? Ex. A rented game?
19. Finally, could you please direct me to a good tutorial for modding a Hitachi drive?

1. umm...Medium? its kinda easy
2. yes
3. about $15-20 you just have to buy a sata card
4. yes
5. relatively low if you have up to date firmware and you stealth check the games
6. your console gets banned from xbox live

9. it depends, probably like 10 minutes
10. yes, you need differnt firmware for each, and there are differnt processes

How do I know if my drive can burn DVD+R DL or not?

Ebay? or here XBOX 360, PS3, Wii, mods, hacks, drives, xbox 360 mods, D162C and D163B DVD backup Drives, wii backup drives, and more, helping gamers mod the crap out of their systems

umm...look at the front of it, most of the the time it will say it on there, if not go to device manager and see which one you have, google the specs for it.
