No picture - Help

well in the past couple of days my picture has been going really grainy, flickery and almost like a painting, just turning it on and off and fidling without doing anything particular with the cables seemed to sort it. Now i simply get no picture (i get sound), i'm running hd cables (the one with 6 plugs, 3 hd, 2 sound and the yellow one you dont use), i bought an entirely new set of cables (for £20 gah) and still it doesnt work!!! anyone got any ideas?

microsoft claim that because it isn't RROD the warranty doesn't cover it, on xbox.com the serial number test thing says my warranty has run out as therefore they want £80 to repair it... so yeh.. help?

Microsoft checks to make sure it gets the RROD because it's the only "free" repair they give out for out of warranty consoles.

This sounds like you're in the early stages of the RROD. Try running it for an extended time, like an hour and you'll probably get the RROD.
