Unanswered: How to fix COD4 disc

Ok so like a douchbag I picked up my 360 while it had my favorite current game inside of it. (It went WRAAAAA and then stopped) It now says that it is an unplayable/unreadable disc. Buying a new game isn't a problem because I work, I just wanted to know if their were any ways of fixing it. My one buddy told me to flush it down the toilet, but I didn't believe him, lol?

I heard something about nail polish, but I didn't know about that either. If I HAD a disc cleaner, I wouldn't be posting, so come up with other ways plox.

Kthx,

Twin Blade

Re: How to fix COD4 disc

1. Take disc and survey the damage.
2. Take Rubbing Alcohol and rub from the inside out to the edges in a line.
3. Try and load.
4. If it didnt load, get in car.
5. Go to favorite game store.
6. Buy a new one

Re: How to fix COD4 disc

did you try the toothpaste trick?

1. take toothpaste and rub it in with a tissue or paper towel in a circular motion clockwise from the center-out.
2. rinse toothpaste off with hot water, GENTLY rubbing the toothpaste off with your finger.
3. dry the disk off by DABBING it onto a clean towel- DO NOT RUB IT or it'll kill it.
4. dry with a cold fan and you are ready to play

this works by filling in the cracks/scratches in the glass with tiny crystals from the toothpaste

worked for a dead halo 2 disk that i didnt have the disk magnet on for 1 year looked like the rrod kinda

I can never get the tooth paste trick to work. Maybe I have "bad" tooth paste for this trick?

Re: How to fix COD4 disc

^^We all know you don't brush your teeth
Anyways I've never had the chance to use the toothpaste trick but I know a few people that have had it worked for them. You could also take it to blockbuster or gamestop and have then repair it.

Re: How to fix COD4 disc

I have a feeling my 360 is going to kill my CoD4 disc soon. It keeps giving me a disc unreadable error every once in a while, so I might give the toothpaste trick a try

Re: How to fix COD4 disc

It has to be regular white toothpaste. It cant have gel or color in it.

Re: How to fix COD4 disc

I would rather use a Q-Tip instead of paper-towel or tissue
