E74 Help

Alright, so my xbox got the error. As it turns out, my three year warranty with MS had run out literally like two months before.

So, I took on the task of fixing it myself. I did an x-clamp replacement, new thermal paste, all that stuff and it worked for about an hour.

It's broken again, (with E74), so I'm wondering. Any other possibilities for what could be causing the error, and is it fixable?

Any help would be appreciated.

There is high chance it's a scaler chip problem (the "ANA" or "HANA" chip near the AV cable connection) it can also be caused by a faulty AV cable so check that first. In some cases it is a problem with the GPU
which could be fix by x-champ but if no then most likely need to reflow it

and i would not do it yourself because unless your doen this before if you need to ask how to do it then don't
look at ebay and there are alot of people on there that can do it
