I was just suspended. but soembody said i was

**and the only message i sent beside party and game invites was."happy day after turkey day"

so i was playing capture the flag in mw2. I was having a pretty bad game and went around 12-25.
so anyhow when the game ended and i could see the scoreboard i heard a guy say
"bye bye THE RECON GIVER" so i didnt think anything of it until a few seconds later when i saw a "disconnected from xbl" pop-up. so at this point i figured it was just a coincidence but when i tried to sign back in i got another message

"you have been suspended from communication on Xbox Live. You will not be able to communicate until 11/29/2009."

and then it tells me an emails been sent

so my question is, is it possible for there to be someway a user to be able to ban people? because their is no way that this guy was going to call my ban as soon as it did. or did i just so happen to meet up with a employee who was in a bad mood?


and im not complaining about it i just want to know what the reason was

If they are a real Xbox LIVE enforcement staff then yes they can suspend at will if needed.

But with a name like that, I doubt it was him.

I highly doubt an xbox live enforcement member could have banned you that fast. Think about it he was playing xbox too and he would have had to gone to a computer or something to fill out information about your gamertag and what you did to get banned, and the suspension length and I bet all of that still would have to be processed to make sure no mistakes are made

your best bet op is to ring ms or post question on there forum i doubt people can ban you unless they using a way to hammer bad feed back against you which would be system tampering and i hhoe they themselfs get banned

If a gamer doesn't like you online they can get you suspended for cheating...

by simply going into there xbox 360 and reporting you as a cheater.

Bad news: Microsoft doesn't verify the claim they just suspend with no questions asked.

Which basically means anyone can ban anyone for anything.

you want to get back at them simple....

Tell microsoft that the user is cheating and swearing at you on your communicator.

that will get him banned off of live for two weeks

^ Who told you this, because I doubt thats true. I had called once really not mad, but just to see if I could get this kid banned for using many racial slurs, spam messaging me, cheating. I had not really cared, except for the fact that I could barely go for 3 seconds without a loud *** noise and annoying window popping up with a message, so I called XBL and explained what was going on, and the dumb **** told me I would have to get a police report to have any actions done to ban the kid.

Umm, One user saying "This guy is cheating" won't tell microsoft "Holy **** this guy is a f*cking cheater! Ban Him!"

course they verify the claim they cant just ban people willy fn nilly that would eb retarded they would lose way to much money doing that you do well in online game kid gets p off at you submits report that you cheated and you get ban for one report

They suspend after a certain amount of file complaints, chances are he was pissed of at you for some reason, file complainted, made up **** about suspension. But you was unlucky and he was the one more you needed for a suspension.

Well obviously not one complaint is going to get anyone anywhere, but you really can get someone suspended with ease. Eh, I use to give a random complaint for bio on my friends list for who ever had the first racist/curse word I saw...just to see them suspended for a day like a week later. But yeah file cheater or profile and they go quick.

@elemfire It was just a coincidence. My friend Jarred had one of the worst, he got hit offline and when he got back on he was suspended (ownd). Just one of those "punch you in the face, crazy" coincidences. .... or a XBL employee who didn't get any turkey

89% avoided
11% didn't review me

50% was quitting early, rest is all over the place. but mostly quit early and unsporting

but i don't think they can ban you for rep, but if the people who don't like you go as far as to report you for a made up claim like 'cheating' or tampering with the game or something like that, they can eventually get you suspended if enough of them do it. course MS would just verify that it isn't true and unsuspend you.
