plasmas but they run on a certain gas and one its ran out it cant be replaced or repaired... an tft is just is good so go for the HD tft

yeah haha, but jsut wait like a year and a half-two years, and they will start to become mainstream, and mass produced, prices will go down. and you can haz a fancy 8mm thick tv in your house

If you get someone in here who know's what there talking about with more patience then you'll get an extremely in depth response. But I'm just going to say plasma's are better for picture when it comes to movies and LCD (preferably LED edge lit LCD) is going to bring colors out much better for gaming than plasmas will. Also HDTV's don't use tft they mostly use newer revisions of PVA, or IPS panels. Response time will be slower on virtually anything not plasma but i'd take the dive for PQ when it comes to gaming. Though for some it's personal preference rather one gives you better looking image or not is opinion but weather one gives you a more detailed and higher PQ or not isn't up for debate if you have a legit spec sheet instead of the ones that show specs that are specific to that brand.

lastly to answer your question plasma will always look better than tft because tft is really low quality with a faster response time than other LCD panel technologies.
