Benq flashing problems on a laptop

Hey guys i need ur professional advise on this:
First of all i have a laptop and i've red on many forums that it is complicated, but any ways i wanted to give it a try because i dont have desktop. And the problem is that i cant put the drive in vendor mode, so here is my problem
1. Installed Port IO, net framework
2. Hooked xbox drive to my laptop's e-sata port with "e-sata->sata cable"
3. Do the "half-tray open", but it didnt put it in vendor mode

I've tried Iprep but didnt work either same problem cant put it in vendor even after it asks to resend, power off the drive then on. So what should i do before i go a buy desktop, i was thinking to get pcmcia card, also i ordered on ebay via6421 for desktop, is there any ways i can connect it to laptop with some kind of cable or something?

ok you're in luck since i just flashed a benq last night with my laptop

instead of using iprep use jungle flasher, its A LOT simpler.

Ok thank you i ll try it, do you know how to connect that card to laptop, cause i only have pci express slot?

By the way if i get this Xecuter Australia: X360 USB with Connectivity Kit V2
i wouldnt need sata with via6421 or anything right?
i can use it with any laptop/desktop?

i have no idea. and i've read that that connectivity only works for hitachi
