GS reset & Reconz

Hey i was thinking about incorrectly hexing some achievements so i can get re-set and get the "Cheater" thing for my gamerzone (no flame for this plz, if you think its stupid then go to another thread) i was just wondering though, if i do this and it wipes my achievements and re sets me to zero, will i still have recon armor in H3 since it is based upon you having certain achievements completed?

if they take your halo cheeves it seems pretty likely theyll take your recon too.

yes im pretty sure that they will take your recon away since you wont have the achievements anymore. but maybe not. maybe since its an unlockable thing it stays unlocked even without the achievements since its not bungie resetting you maybe they wont notice

Hmmm....

Because my thoughts were since it is already unlocked there should be no reason why it would re-lock it...i need someone who plays halo and has been re-set to come in here. lol

i dont think they will take it because you have to click that button, and its probably locked in, unless Bungie decide to have you achievements reset its unlikely M$ will reset your recon aswell

ALL HALO 3 Armors will be removed from your account. I modded H3 cheevs on my old account and all of the armor got removed from me. I had to earn the gear again, now I know what your thinking... "You got reset which mean you cant earn the cheevs to get the armor back... well the thing is Bungie released the Mythic disc which allowed me to get the armor again but it wouldnt give me the G's. Just make sure you know what your getting yourself into, you will loose recon.

And btw there is a tut on this site on how to get your achievements back after reset so you could have just done that. But it does get rid of the "cheater" gamerzone thing.

Why do people care so much about Recon armor? It isn't that great...

They will not take it away... it works in the same principle about how hexing your achievements will not give you recon. The recon system is technically completely seperate from achievements. Bungie logs each achievement on THEIR server, in which recon will be given. Resetting the achievements does not affect this.

That is what you would call an opinion.

I happen to think recon (just the helmet) looks cool. Even if recon armor was the default armor that you start with and never was anything special i would still wear it just like you may prefer hayabusa or rouge or something. It's just what you personally think looks cool.

I do believe everyone can see it so then everyone knows that you are a cheater that was the whole point of why they put cheater so then you can identify the cheaters and what not!

It used to be that only you could see it but not anymore, now everyone can see it. I used to have someone on my friends list that had "cheater" on there gamer zone.
