Suggestion to iXtreme makers

well i was thinking why dont they allow you to use a spoof disc?
like when i say that i mean like..lets say putting MW2 on a disc right
but just the part that allows the xbox to see MW2 and makes it say play game
and to play with that spoof disc you have it installed on HDD so you only need to waste 1 DL disc for the game and share it with friends and burn a bunch of spoof discs on single layer discs

Re: Suggestion to iXtreme makers

im saying
a single layer have a spoof thingy
so when u put it in it says play game
and so you can play it with the game already installed on HDD so you only need one copy of the actual game for friends to play aswell

Game already on HDD
pass that game around to install on hdd with friends
use spoof disc to make it say play game and so u can play off HDD

if im getting this right (you want to burn one game install it to everyones hard drives then burn a bunch of disks with the security in them so that the 360 thinks that the game is in the drive) then you cant do it. many have asked this same question and many have been told it is not possible

The full game is not stored on the hard drive when you install it there. Also, it just flat out won't work.

If you really want to suggest something to the creators of iXtreme I suggest not doing it here, they might not even know this site exist.

Single layer Spoof discs would work with 5.3xtreme firmware, ahh the good times of non xtreme format xbox 1 backups. Of course right after this release the banwaves started and banned anyone who used a single layer game.

Ill get more into it later if people with banned boxes are interested im too drunk right now to type it all up.

Um yes it does. Everything needed to play the game is installed to the harddrive.

Doodle you are wrong. The 360 does install the whole game.

When you rip a game to your PC. You get a 7.3GB(7.29) .ISO file. This is because it copies everything.(Security files, random padding, ect...)

When your 360 installs a game it makes a smaller file. This is not because it leaves out game data. It does install the whole game. This is because it does not copy all of the random padding, security files, ect... It only copies the files needed to run the game. Which is why you get a smaller file. This is the whole game, just because it is a smaller file does not mean it is missing things.

Now to prove this i have taken a little bit of time to get some evidence for what I am telling you.

Battlefield Bad Company
PC Kreon Rip - 7.3GB
All game files extracted out of .ISO - 4.89GB
Xbox 360 installed game - 4.9GB

ODST
PC Kreon Rip - 7.3GB
All game files extracted out of .ISO - 3.44GB
Xbox 360 installed game - 3.5GB

Gears of War 2
PC Kreon Rip - 7.3GB
All game files extracted out of .ISO - 6.24GB
Xbox 360 installed game - 6.3GB

Re: Suggestion to iXtreme makers

There is another issue.

The new Xbox 360 dashboard with Zune Facebook Twitter and Last.fm will contain some new security measures so have fun with this.

when installing my beta dash the beta gave me a warning that my console was being scanned before installing the beta.

Scared the heck out of me..
