You loaded an Azus (you mean asus) bios? I wasn't aware asus motherboards worked with pear pc cpu's, I thought it was only x86 cpus, well its good to know I can now.

This is so wrong. Although the xbox 360 may have the same hardware as you might find in a PC, it is far from a downgraded one. The 360 has a custom CPU, wich jumps to it's internal ROM, wich then verifys the RSA signature of a bootloader in flash and jumps there. The motherboard is NOT an asus, in fact it is not by any of those major brands. It was custom-designed in a joint effort by Microsoft and Intel. It uses no such standard BIOS tricks, in fact the bootloader is almost entirely in the encrypted flash. You can't just magically load a new BIOS onto the xbox 360. Hell I'll point out something you may be interested to know. All those major computer component manufacturers such as Gigabyte, Asus, or Biostar.... they actually don't have their own individual BIOS. Hell they never took a single look at developing their own. Instead, they use a BIOS that was already built such as the Phoenix BIOS or the AWARD BIOS. Hell I've seen the same bios that's on my Gigabyte-intel motherboard uses on an Asus-AMD motherboard.

Intel does not make PowerPC processors, PowerPC being the Assembly Language used on the Xbox 360. Intel Chipsets have their own assembly themselves, for such an engineer, you should know better. Intel Chips are not used on the 360, the Xbox 360 uses PowerPC assembly...

Last time I checked, adults do not caps lock, "text scream," and get offended over little things over the interwebz, he wasn't saying you had a Dev Kit persay, he was saying you magically turned the 360 into a unit that has the same specs as a Dev Kit.

By the way, you can format a basic drive to be FatX, doesn't mean you can get it to work. At offset 0x2000 in the Hard Drive, there is the serial of the Hard Drive, model, and firmware revision. It is all protected by an RSA signature, now, you being such an engineer, you should be quite up to terms with what software protection is, mainly RSA and how Microsoft only has the private keys to be able to make a signature and the impossibility of you having those keys. The Xbox 360 will not read that Hard Drive if the serial does not match that built into the Device along with the RSA signature validity.

By the way, you can format a basic drive to be FatX, doesn't mean you can get it to work. At offset 0x2000 in the Hard Drive, there is the serial of the Hard Drive, model, and firmware revision. It is all protected by an RSA signature, now, you being such an engineer, you should be quite up to terms with what software protection is, mainly RSA and how Microsoft only has the private keys to be able to make a signature and the impossibility of you having those keys. The Xbox 360 will not read that Hard Drive if the serial does not match that built into the Device along with the RSA signature validity.

no the 360 is powered my a Intel Pentium 4 and if you havent herd of farstone drive clone than idk what to say
i cloned my hdds and there is no RSA on the 360 Hdd cause Xport would have to sign that code everytime it opened the drive
and ya there is a serial and firmware attached to the hdd but farstone drive clone copys everything on that hdd(firmware, offsets, and model number) and applys it to the new cloned HDD
and honestly explain this
wheni format my memory unit to fat32 or NTFS the xbox 360 will automatically repartition the memory unit and reformat it to fatx format

Sir, you are mistaken or you are not a sir, you are a child, it has been publicly documented, video taped, and even announced that Xbox 360 is IBM PowerPC based. You could be getting the Original Xbox confuzzled with the 360, if I remember right, the original Xbox was a dubbed down Computer and ran Intel chipsets, and you could format FatX HDDs to work.

The 360 was improved security wise and so much more different.

This is a hexadecimal view of my 360 Hard Drive opened up in WinHex, what I have highlighted is the serial, model, and firmware revision, the following data is HDD specific also along with the last 0x100 bytes of that data is the RSA signature of that data only. Xplorer 360 would not have to redo the signature everytime because the signature is only to that data, the files in the drive have nothing to do with the RSA signature, do not confuse STFS with FatX. In STFS, files were hashed which those hashes were hashed to make the signature. The signature in the HDD is only a hash computed from the area I have highlighted, the only way to break the RSA signature is to edite that info you see in that picture.

True, you could copy the contents of the drive, but the computer does not have access to the serial embedded into the Device, not in the partitions itself. Therefore, it would read the partitions valid, but wouldn't read the HDD because the serial embedded into the Flash and the serial on the HDD header does not match.

The xbox 360 has 512mb of RAM, not 2GB. Furthermore, it is nearly impossible for you to just magically add more RAM to your 360 by any conventional means aside from the new XNA devkit sidecar which adds an additional 512mb for debugging.

You need two things for a lawsuit:
- liability
- damages
Considering you can't just simply request like $1,000,000 in damages over a single burnt xbox, you're SOL and good luck with that lawsuit buddy.

Microsoft has ways of checking modifications to the system, they aren't stupid you know. Now they won't ban over running a custom kernel offline, but try going onto xbox live with that **** and they will bring down the hammer HARD.

That's a gray area there. Remember the guy who got arrested for modifying xboxes? There are laws that you CAN get in trouble over, such as bypassing software protection. If it became an issue, Microsoft COULD use something like that against people, but I doubt they ever will.
