| Dev Kit Is what M$ is talking about here a Dev Kit? Quote: Submit Your Game It’s easy to submit your game! Just follow these three simple steps! 1) Email mcg@microsoft.com with a description of your game and your contact information. We’ll send you a content submission form. We love playable demos! 2) Once your game is accepted, you’ll hear from the developer relations staff and we’ll send you our Game Developer’s Kit (GDK). We’ll also discuss the right business model for your game. 3) We’ll take care of the rest – game integration, promotions, marketing, data analysis and community support. And if so wouldn't that make it quite easy to get one? | ||||||

| Re: Dev Kit nay. What you do is you build a native game for the computer (XNA, remember can't go native on the 360), or an XNA game. You want it to be as polished as possible (like just make sure it plays well). Then send them your game, and if it is approved, they'll send you a developers kit to either re-make your game (if you previously made it with XNA), or to port it to the 360 (if it's in a native language like c++). | ||||||

| Re: Dev Kit well there's still that whole XNA route. Although I'm not particulary sure if you could use XNA to first create the game this way, there are the annual XNA game contests where the top 10 contest winners have the chance to develop for the xbox 360. | ||||||

| Re: Dev Kit Why not just get a free trial code? register here: https://www.dreambuildplay.com/main/register.aspx and once you're done, you get a free trial code that allows you to test it on your 360. It doesn't allow you to submit games to the creator's club, or review them, but you can then test networking and 360 support. I would also get like 4 of them so that you can test networking and multiple accounts. It lasts for a year so you can get more next year. Last edited by Haxalot88; 09-21-2008 at 04:04 PM. | ||||||
