Re: turtle beach

Really imo it depends if you either hate messing with cords, or hate using batteries.

I use the X3 ones, which come VERY handy in guitar hero (and I assume rockband drums) being that you can't here yourself strum/drum, and there aren't wires in the way to mess with you.

The only downside to them is that when they are low battery, the sound quality starts to suck, and the mic will just quit working. It just uses batteries up.

Overall I think X3 are a better choice being it's wireless.

Re: turtle beach

Definitely the X3, the wireless is worth it in the scheme of things, especially when playing games like rockband and guitar hero. Messing with cords is one thing you don't want to do when you play those games. I suggest X3 overall.

Re: turtle beach

I just ordered an astro gaming headset. You should buy them! I have read so many reviews on both of these products and by far the astro has seemed to be the fan favorite. The adapters, cords, and the mixer is the number one selling point. It is also not wireless thus giving you the best possible quality.

Re: turtle beach

When it comes to the head sets I think they're worth the money and if you are big into a game like COD4 when its nice to see if some one is going to merc you in the back its nice to hear them walking. Now I have 2 pairs of Turtle Beach headphones. I have the X3 and the X4s. Now I've been using the X3s for about 6 months and the X4 for about 2-3 weeks. The amazing thing with the X4s is that they have to 5.1 and its AMAZING for 3 things, One is that its really easy to keep things out of the way, two they feel amazing with the velvet ears and three the sound is just AMAZING with games and with music. So X4 is a good use of money IMO.
