well i went up to eb games today and the guy at the desk was telling me about microsoft announced a change in the new update, microsoft is going COMPLETELY change all of the code in the 360 because i guess they are tired of modders so if u have anything modified it will immediatly detected and they are even going to put the update on new game that are coming out so you dont even need to sign onto live to be banned

but for all i know the guy could be high on crack and not know what the hell he is talking about.... but i do have a question, if this is true can i just restore my orig firmware and be ok?

I kinda believe it and i kinda dont.But you can believe that someone's gonna overcome this in a month at the least.

do you know how long it would take to change a code in a whole system? lol you would prob have to go to your local eb games and trade out your xbox for a new one with the new codes on it..the only thing that is really gonna change is the dashboard and a few other minor things... i doubt they are gonna recode a whole xbox, b/c that would mean they would have to recode all the games too >_>

Doubt it's true. I just don't think xbox would do all that to stop a minority. I'm sure they would have done it before if they were going to.

i gues that when the code is updated it would say like ok this xbox has modified content on it so dont allow him to go on and when he does alert xbox live

maybe what he meant by completely changing the code was just updating the fw so it can be detected and maybe changing con files? and like i said i wasnt 100% sure about this either.. and they can ban you offline if they include the update on new games

They can only change so much code through online updates. It's hard to explain, but most is hard coded into the 360.

Nope. If they are gonna catch us, they already have logs by now. If they were collecting logs it probably started a long time ago.
