Dev-Kits ~ Support please?

I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask, but I am looking for a Dev-Kit.
I can get the money for one and all, but finding one is a problem.
Now before some of you try to explain to me the situation and why it is real hard to have hold of one, I already know.
I've done my research and all, but I have come to the point where I've made my mind up.
I've seen some people offering them on forums, but there are no recent ones.

Does anybody know where I might be able to get one?

Shadow-lag sold a demo kit on here like a month ago for like $600

Demo kits are easier to find and they are cheaper, if you cant find a dev kit i reccomnd you try to find one of them. I saw one on ebay not to long ago

What is the difference between a Demo-Kit and a Dev?
Also, I had been thinking about getting one for a while now, but never really made my mind up until seeing the progress of Detox's work.
Would I be able to do the same on a Demo?

And I already have somebody who is offering to sort out some discs for me too,

360 Developer kits are used to create games to play on the retail Xbox 360. It cannot access Xbox LIVE but has its own LIVE service for testing online play which is called PartnerNet. It can also be used for .map modding in Halo 3 if you have the right tools.

Demo kits work the same as a devkit, they run unsigned code. I think devkits have a sidecar and demo kits look like a regular console.

If you do get a dev/demo kit good luck getting the tools you need to accually mod, Your probley not going to get them from anyone unless you can make them yourself

I've spoken to some well knowledged people and they suggested a Demo Kit.
I'm not getting my hopes up related to the software, but alot of people are offering it with the software, which is what I would generally be looking for.
I think I am going to need to speak to somebody like Shade or something for H3 related modding though, as I would be walking into a brick wall blindfolded....

You would need to talk to Anthony or Detox about getting the H3 tools.... not Shade

If you have a choice get a full dev kit, if you dont or are short on money get demo

DONT GET A DEV/DEMO KIT JUST TO MOD HALO 3

wrong... please people, learn that dev kits dont run unsigned code, they just run dev code, which we know how to sg and have both the keys

No, I dont plan on using it just to mod H3.
I plan on learning more about the 360 itself, and hopefully make something of it in the future.
I know it is quite alot, but I am willing to spend that amount of money on something I would enjoy researching + something I can benefit from in the future and the present time.

What would a full Dev offer that a Demo wont?
