My friend brought over his HDMI 360 Pro 3 weeks ago. I had bought an X Clamp Replacement kit for it. Anyways it was untouched I only modded it. I really thought I could fix it, the error code was 0024 ? Never heard of that did the X Clamp it worked for 1 hour before getting 0102. Over heated it and it worked for 1 hour again, now it was giving 0021. I knew there was no hope left, 0021 sucks. So I let it bake for 15 min, and now it was giving 0034? I decided to let it bake so in my eagerness to see if it was working I burned my finger on the heatsink. I had a big open wound on my hand and I burned it . So I take the screw driver and smash the heatsink. Now the 360 wont work at all . Still being pissed I took the screw driver and sawed the board with it. Anyways it was time for plan B. I put the smashed heatsink back on (Taped it with tape). I had bought a RROD console from Ebay like 1 month ago, it had 0021 I had fixed it with heatgun but the seller had swapped the drives. He put some random MS28 that would not eject. I swapped his working BENQ, and put in that ****ty MS28, taped the heatsinks, screwed the console in with 6 screws. (Lost the rest), and put a fresh virgin warranty sticker from my 06 box. I sent it in about 2 weeks ago, and today I got a replacement unit back. With Opus, and Lite-On .So yeah all I am saying is if you have a warranty sticker, you will get a replacement.

| Re: Microsoft Does Not Really Check For Stuff :D! So explain how you're getting a "4" in the secondary error codes, since the highest number you can get is 3. When you first send it in they just check for a sticker and throw it into a pile of consoles to be refurb'd. They could get you later when they go to refurbish the console. You get a "4" in the secondary error code. You hold Sync+Eject "4" times. 0102 is a common code is that not 4? Or is that 3? | ||||||

My cousin gave me one of his old 360's for free. it had rrod, but it was opened from before the warranty was extended. It doesn't have a sticker. If I send it in, will they: a) fix it b) keep it and charge me c) send it back and charge me d) just send it back
