Think this will work?

My current xbox 360 has about 8months left on it's extended warranty. I have an xbox that I believe was flashed wrong by someone, therefor it will play dvds/cds but not games. Think I could pull off switching the back stickers over, and putting my warranty seal on the broken one and "call it in broken" ?

Re: Think this will work?

Shouldn't I replace the serial number sticker on the back too?

is there a serial or code of any kind on the sticker?
if so then might aslong as they are the same model
if not then i wouldn't worry btw were they both made about the sametime?

Re: Think this will work?

I'm pretty sure so yeah. I'm thinking I should replace both stickers and do them neatly so all they have to do is see it, I'm sure stupid MS won't pay attention too close.

Re: Think this will work?

Dont replace the serial code. Thats a dumb thing to do.

I had a customer who tried to to the Walmart Swap. He had a broken Pro, and he bought an Arcade. So he tried taking the sticker off the arcade, and it ripped to dismay.

Anyways he could not even flash the H79 as at that time the Pass Key **** was the only way to go .

So he brought it into me to flash, I could not either so I gave him an old pro.

He gave me the arcade and the RROD he had.

My advice leave the serial number on the back just put the sticker on! (I have done this a lot)

Re: Think this will work?

If you do swap the serial stickers on the back you might wanna swap the serial numbers under the USB slots too

Re: Think this will work?

So I'm going to take the warranty sticker from my good one, and put it on this broken cd drive one. Then wrap it in some towels and jam the fan with a stick, and leave it on for a while...that's what I read I should do to make it RROD

Re: Think this will work?

Dont even bother to fake the RROD. I had an Elite around in September but it had H79 I sent it in (I wanted BENQ), and I claimed it had RROD. Anyways I got one back with another H79.....
