Sending my 360 in for repair

Sending my 360 in for repair

After 2 weeks of fighting with Microsoft about them not being able to send me a box they finally shipped me a box through Fed Ex. I got it today and packaged it up. It says that it has standard overnight shipping. Does this mean it will be at Microsoft 1 day after I bring it to a Fedex center?

What is the shipping method do they use for the box I send to them?

It arrives to them usually within 2 or 3 days....expect a 2-3 week turnaround total

I'm suprised they used FedEx Overnight. Usually they use UPS 3 Day Select or Ground.

And yes, unless you ship it on a Friday or Saturday or Sunday, it will be there the next day.

ya i did the same thing but ups ground... it takes bout 2 weeks i get it back thurs..... but i made them pay 4 it even though my warrany exp.

I was sent my box 2-day air. Took a full month for me to get my box back. But what really sucks is that they gave me a new box so now when im not on live i don't own any of my arcade games that i bought on my old box.

how would I know if I got a new box??

And it's being sent to Mcallen Texas, which is where I read that the new Opus boards are gonna be for replacement 360s. And is it possible for my RCA cable thing for my TV to get messed up whenever my 360 was messed up, because before it broke I seen dots that would go across the screen?

Its not necessarily the cable thats broken. It could be the solder balls under the graphics card or HANA chip or anything. If you saw dots before it broken, chances are that its got to do with something inside the 360.

If your error code was E74 then you got the gpu failure which is what i sent mine in for. Lines and dots all over my screen. Its not the cables its just the xbox itself.

Well it got to them at 12:51 according to Fed Ex.

They still haven't updated the status on Xbox.com to "Device received at service center" so IDK.

They probably won't update it until they authorize a replacement. All they do is check to make sure the sticker is intact and has the error you sent it in for, then they authorize the replacement.

Yours should be shipped Tomorrow or Monday.

Yeah this morning at 6:44 AM I checked the status and it said we have received your device at the service center.

Hopefully I get it next week.

Man I sure hope I don't get a refurbished 360 or a old 360/my 360. Hopefully I get one of those Opus things or a brand new 360.

What do you guys think is my chance of getting a Opus?

Is there anyway for me to know if I got a refurbished 360, my 360, or a brand new 360?

You're guaranteed, as far as I know they are putting Opus and Lite-ons in all the new ones. Which sucks, because you can't hack lite-ons yet
