Gamertag Change for free

Ok, I'm sure you've all heard about how to change your gamertag for free. Where you get people to file a complaint on your gamertag. Is there anyone on here who has tried it and has suceeded if so how many friends had to complain?

Well, My friend was asking me and all his friends to give him negative rep, but either it didn't work, or nobody did it. But a gamertag is not so important to me that i would pay $10 for it, or go through the trouble to get people to complain about me. And also, All the complaints will get on your permanent xbl profile thing, i think.

The only way to do it for free is have everyone on your friends list to report it as being offensive.

My gamertags are always offensive, so I get to make a new one about every 2 weeks. Once you have an offensive gamertag just go into Hardcore Search and Destroy and kill all your teammates with a RPG. They will report you.

if you didnt know when the xbox 360 was released, up until a year after that gamertag changing was free but they decided to start charging for the changing service

My friend recently tried that because he wanted to change his gamertag, yet he merely got banned, without the possibility of changing it.

Just tell everyone to file a complaint against you for an offensive gamertag.
Your user rep has no effect on your ability to change your name or get it noticed as being offensive.

i tryed it on a spare account, just make sure people file a complaint against GAMERTAG and you HAVE to change it and its free

my friend has to change his gamertag evry couple of days its just like nerve said hisgamertags are always offensive make sure they file it against the gamertag and it does work

this never works for me i try to do it like every day and go into games and leave just to get more ppl on my player list and send messages constantly

Well if your gamertag isn't offensive the people at xbox live will just dismiss it as someone trying to get you in trouble for no reason. It actually has to be offensive/profane for this to work....

Afaik, filing a complaint actually doesn't work. My friend just got banned for a few days then un-banned, without the option of changing his name.

it only works if you name is truely offensive tho
example
Billybob will not beable to get changed
ABLACKGUY or something like that will
