here is proof my halo edition has officially gave up on me not even a full year after purchase..not to mention the first halo edition i bought lasted 13 hours after purchase before showing the Rrod...

wow, that sucks... recently got my first RROD 3 weeks ago. Went out and bought an Elite that same night. Now I worry about the Elite RROD-ing. F'n XBOX, if it wasn't such an awesome system, I'd be more pissed off when this happens. haha

Doesn't help that you've got yours vertical and right beside a comp/external drive (two things that can generate a lot of heat).

Long Time HDD RROD ...
I detachted too often my HDD off the little thing betwen HDD and 360 ...
Now its not workin anymore and I have to buy a hole new HDD to get this little thing.

well my ring of light did a little rave for me, i set up my xbox in a different room cus i was decoratin my bedroom, and i stood it up instead of horizontal, and my screen flashed black and white a did like a boot up a pic did with all the white writing then then the ring flashed red and green and the little light bounced from corner to coner so i swithed the box off and oh man what the machine hot!, i mean i nearly got a blister off the fukin thing it was that hot!
