Sorry I am a really big newb at the wii. Is there a way to play games that I can download on the web and burn onto discs without a mod chip? If so how?

Like this whole thing with Zelda and the homebrew thing. Is that to do such?

My console version is 4.0u. So from what I see I would need to downgrade it. How would I do that and also what are some sites to download free wii games that work on NTSC?

since you are on 4.0 you will have to wait for the "banner bomb" exploit to be finished to install the homebrew channel. The Twilight Princess hack only works on system menus lower than 4.0.

Once that is done you can load the USB loader to load games off a USB HDD or you can downgrade to 3.2 and use the different loaders available to load games you burn to discs


So shrt answer, yes, but you cant yet unless you have the homebrew channel installed already.

I read that the banner bomb exploit will only work if you already have the homebrew channel and you are on 4.0... Is this correct?
