The Mental Way to Improve Your FFA.

Hello everyone. I have compiled this report to help people improve their FFA's. I cant tell you how to improve your aim or pull off a double shot, but I can certainly tell you how to have the right mindset before going into a FFA.

First things First. Lets identify what type of gamer you are. There are 3 major categories that I have divided this into, but please note this is not the only kinds of games out there, this is a very general grouping!

1. The People Who Think They Suck.

If u fall into this category, you probably think that you suck at halo. When you go into games, and other kids call you BK, you acknolegde it without talking any trash. You tend to not care about ranks or how you play, you just play to pass time.

Pros: At least you admit that you are not so hot at playing.

Cons: This kind of thinking is extremely negative and not good for your personality on a whole. If you think you suck, you will suck, with no chance of improvement. The effects on your personality itself will be things like depression, low self esteem, even thoughts that you suck at life. If you fall into this category I will tell you now, you don't suck at life. What you need is positive mind set, which is easier said then done. Try to learn to appreciate the things in life that you have. You are very lucky to be where you are. Treat every day like its your last. Once you start feeling good at life, you will feel good about other things, including Halo.

2. The Average Joe Smoe.

If u fall into this category, you are an average player. You play the game for fun, and arent too serious about ranks, however you do play matchmaking. You usually dont get too frustrated when you lose, but u do get a little upset if you get cheated against, which is understandable. In FFA's you dont expect to get 1st, you just play for the heck of it. You tend to make alot of mistakes while playing FFA's and sometimes dawn on those mistakes for the rest of the game.

Pros: You enjoy playing the game for what it is.

Cons: You tend to let minor things bother you which affects your gameplay. I will address these issues later.

3. The Hot Shot

You love playing Halo and owning noobs. You tend to think you are really good at the game and no one is better than you. You are the guy that teabags someone after you get a leet stick or BxR. If you get cheated or get owned you will scream and shout saying stuff like u noob i could own u any day take me 1v1!

Pros: You are confident of your skills.

Cons: You tend to be a jerk to people. You also cant control your anger greatly affecting your gameplay. People will not like you for your attitude. You must realize you cant have everything and you will not always win, it just doesnt happen that way.

Alrighty, now that you have identified what kind of gamer you are, lets get to those tips!

1. Do not get upset over losing. It is just a game. Everyone has bad games, you cannot let that 1 game get to you or it will affect your gameplay for the rest of the day.

2. Still try to be positive! Say to yourself you have a chance of winning! Being confident will make you do way better.

3. Camping can be your friend. If u find a good spot on a map where a lot of people seem to come by, camp there! However, dont stay too long at one spot, people will either spawn away from you, or some one will find you and take you out.

4. Take out your mic while playing FFA's. All those voices will distract you from the game. Without those annoying voices, you can concentrate better.

5. If you decide to keep your mic in, dont trash talk. You are ruining the game for other people. Also if you start trash talking and u get owned you wil start getting mad, therefore affecting your gameplay.

6. Dont teabag in an FFA. One it is not nice, and 2 it wastes time and sum1 could own u while your crouching over sum1's body.

7. Don't rush out unless you see someone is already engaged with someone else in battle. You can then take advantage of the situation and pick up both kills.

8. Try to be a combo of the Average Joe Smoe and the Hot Shot. Be confident but dont be a jerk, and take it eaasy. It's only a game.
