Tips on playing better

Ok lately iv been getting better at MLG, I was keeping up with ArKiVe and some other good people in a custom until I started to lag. There are alot of things you should know to improve your gameplay whether it be FFA or Team games. I will try to cover most of what i know in this tutorial.

Mind Set:

In a game of FFA mindset is everything. This is one of the most important things that can lead you to victory or to defeat.

~First off never aim to get first place, aim to get top four. This way you do not put to much pressure on your self.

~DONT GET MAD, well its ok to get mad just dont let it control you. Usally when you get mad you begin to do dumb things like concentrating to much on one person across the map or chasing some one that has a low shield and end up getting killed by falling into their trap. You should learn to let it go, its halo, people are not always going to die when they should, you will lag threw people then end up getting assanated, you will die when the other person should have died. it happens to everyone.

~"In the zone", For me there are times when im in the zone and everthing around me just wades away, including people talking to me through XBL. During this time I do increible, So i suggest you find your "zone" ASAP to stay ontop of the game.

~you should always clear your head, and ignore people that are trying to put you down.

Tips:

As you may have heard before, I can only provide you with help/stratagies/nadepoints/spwans but I cannot make you a better player. Becomeing a better player is when you are able to put the help provided into a real game and be succsessful with it.

~Do not play with your controller settings. There have been many times whe i see some one change their settings for a few days to see how they do and when they come back they cannot use the original settings. If you play with a 4 sensitivity then leave it. unless you really feel that you can handle somtheing else.

~Succses in FFA comes by stealing kills

~Never camp to long in one spot

~If you are blue2 and you need one more shot on a guy that drops down to blue1, DO NOT run after him, he will have already laid down grenades for you to fall ontop of.

~Double shotting (RRX). This little technique can be extremely useful in gainnig the upper hand on some one. I do not recomend doing it just because it looks cool but only if thee other person gets first shot of you. Here is an example on when to use it. Viewing file: shot.wmv

~Crouching! YES crouching. Hiding yourself from the radar by crouching is very under estimated. Im not saying go around the whole map crouch walking but do it when you are in a bad spot, ex. You spwan on p1 and there is someone on p2, the guy on p2 can easly throw nades at you. Also a very good thing to do is crouch as soon as you spwan, this gives you a chance to make sure that you arnt going to walk into some one camping, this is a good time to look around to see if there are any kills that ou can steal.

~Dont be afraid to shot across the map. Often people think that they will not be able to BR some one across the map, but you dont know if thier shield is down so just shoot them, until they run away or you see some one on your radar or you are being shot at.

~Never concentarate on just one person. Their are people all around them map so its ok to let go of kills.

~If you cant BXR someone then its good to crouch down and BXB.

~Learn to be unpredictable.

~Develop good strafing patterns. When BRing someone dont just stand still or walk one way, you should strafe back and forth.

~Try not to pick fights with people unless you know you are going to kill them.

the double shot isint good unless you can sucefully do them back to back. If you cant its slower than normaily 4 shoting.

it would work on that one guy, and the next you would have trouble with. Most of the time in ffa you dont have time to not do double shots back to back.

exactly, this is why you only double shot when need to get the upper hand on some one, as I said in my first post.

Your telling someone to 3 shot, and then reload....this isint H1. lol
The best thing in FFA is to BxR alot, and just straight 4 Shots.
Double Shotting is really only effective in TS.
