What is everyones opinions on the new OS.

I personally have not used it, but that is because from everything i have heard/seen from it, i did not like the direction they took with it.

The only version I used was the original leaked development copy. It basically felt like Windows 7 combined with the current Xbox 360 dash theme. I wouldn't say I outright hate it, but at the same time, I didn't love it. I have seen the newest development version being used. It does look marginally better, but without trying it for myself, I can't vouch for it. I do love my Windows 7, but I'm willing to give 8 a chance.

Installed it for 20 minutes, formatted my computer and reinstalled Windows 7. xD

Have been an avid user since the Dev Preview. I see NOTHING wrong with it being a main OS. People will say something about driver issues or something of the sort. However, I feel it's worth it. As for that 20 minute guy above me? You don't go to a movie and watch it for 5 minutes and then say it isn't worth it, do you?

I see what you mean. I think a lot of people just dislike change. I haven't really had a chance to experience it, so I have no beef for it. Would you mind sharing some of the features we can look forward to?

I've had it on my laptop since the consumer preview came out. With a lot of the functions practically "hidden" with no tutorial. I actually look forward for the change but as of right now it seems to be more designed for a tablet than a PC but overall in my opinion I'm excited for the release and i am definitely excited for Microsoft Surface.

If you haven't seen it, check it out here:

i got the release preview on dual boot and i find it actually not too bad :D

It also saved my windows 7's life. Had a nasty virus that attacked my win32 so just went onto the windows 8 and fixed it (because safe mode is too mainstream)

It sucks ****. The whole android feel is crap. No start bar is ridiculous too. I know they said they would bring it back, but who knows.

You obviously have not used the new OS have you? Cause I can assure you it's not. It's going to flop like Vista. It is not user friendly and most people are not computer literate. I have a business demo copy of Windows 8 and it sucks ****.

lol? In order to like switch screens and get to like my computer or something it's random hot keys. Not to mention the tablet interface is horrible. I guess it's all opinion, but you are the first person I know to like it.

I really like it. Switching to the start interface and back is fast and easy by just pressing the start button(keyboard). I don't find a thing wrong with it. I don't know why people hate it.

I think you guys should wait until it's officially released. Microsoft still has a little over two months to basically perfect it, and I'm sure they'll work out a lot of kinks in it.
