I am curious as to whether or not your existing worlds will update to the new versions when they come out. Say I have a Slime Farm and I have a bunch of Slime Balls for Sticky Pistons. When the update comes out in the next few days will that world be updated or will I just have a bunch of Slime Balls on an outdated map?
I sure hope so. Otherwise all this work will be slightly worthless. Just slightly. I might just jump into modding.
Yeah pretty much... I don't want to mod mine because my friend's world ****ed up from it. Like, whenever you start the game you are just dead and can't respawn.
Ouch. I only plan to do things like adding items to my inventory. I guess that isn't really true modding but to me, having Ultra-Mega-Supreme-Diamond Armor that doesn't break isn't really important.
Yes, you will have pistons. However, you will need to make a new world for the 1.8.2 update :/ And if you want to be safe about modding, upload your save to the cloud. That way, if you screw it up, it's always there.
When they add new items, you will have them, but when they change stuff within the world generator, you will have to make a new world.
