My computer just got a virus and I'm not super 1337 h4x and don't know much about removing viruses. I went to a maliscious website and it infected my computer with a fake anitvirus that closes all other anti virus programs. I cannot ctrl+alt+delete either. Anyone that is willing to help me through this I will be glad to send a couple bucks your way on paypal. Also, it will not allow me to get into my system restore.
If you know when you got the virus. Not exactly "know where you got it" but like a week ago? Delete everything from like a week or two of downloads.
So if I get it right, you can access all your files and even the internet? But when you type "System Restore" into the "Start" menu it doesn't come up?
Fix: Hard Shut down (close everything, then hold the power down on your pc till it turns off) then turn it on and go to safe mode. Then go to the date you want to, Read the prompts and then boot as normal and your problems should be fixed. -Capito

Dont worry i got a reaally nasty virus got rid of it myself 1st download these tools on another pc if u can. 1-Malware Bytes 2-Super anti spyware antivirus 3- a free anti virus - Comodo anti virus 4. Turn off ur pc Press f8 run safe mode- use the programs/ run them/ scan whole pc 5. Problem Fixed 6 Just to be sure download multiple antivuris and run them. (avast, spyware bot search and destroy, avg) Hope it help message if you need help.
That can work for simple viruses but most wont go away from that. Download this. Let it run a quick scan and then get rid of the infected areas.
