Yea i've been waiting for this, i just want it so i dont have to worry about my phone being turned off by someone playing with it.
i need untethered because for some reason i always wash and dry mine and it turns off permanently. I'm pretty sure it is the jailbreak because i always use the delicate cycle and ipods are delicate so it should work fine?
Honestly tethered jailbreaks aren't really even that bad. I don't even think I'll switch to untethered when it's released just because I don't wanna go through the hassle of re-jailbreaking. I mean tethered is the same thing if you keep it charged, and even if it dies, takes 2 seconds to reboot via comp.
exactly lol, i might do it if there is untethered, and it is on a new firmware, but on ios 5.0.0 i am just going to stick with tethered the whole time lol
Yeah I mean unless there's not any real major reason to update, I just don't feel the need when I would just have to restore, re-jailbreak, and take the time to put ALL of my stuff back on it.
Don't see the big deal of wanting untethered unless u don't have a comp and someone jail broke for you. Think of it this way you could have a 4s with no jailbreak at all :cursing:
No they said they had some exciting news they was telling everyone, but it could be untethered but maybe not
The "exciting news" that they released was that they made a tool which sends error reports to the dev team instead of apple so they can see what crashes can be exploited. Its a good idea IMO and could be the start of something. You can download the tool from their blog and see more info about the purpose and the goal (http://greenpois0n.com/?p=131) for both Mac and Windows. I already uploaded crash reports to them from all my idevices. And if your running ios 5, its good to uncheck the "send error reports to apple" so they dont patch a possible exploit. You can do that by going into Settings-General-About and scroll down to "Diagnostics and Usage" and click dont send.
Just to make sure, there are no available un-tethered jailbreaks for an iPhone 4 Verizon on 5.0.1 correct?
