That's because the data you are hashing is encrypted. You need to flash a nand with minimal patches on an RGH and use UART to dump the hashes before they are encrypted.

Using minimal patches will assure that the hashes are not modified in any way in the HV.
The console also won't boot right up with minimal patches as the HV will panic and cause the console to shut down.
It looks legit, if I buy an arduino card, I'll try to get clean hash next dash using this method, I have my patches.bin with minimal patches.

.....and to think I thought you guys had a better understanding of what is going on.

I see a lot of theories.

Still looks like you got some work ahead of you.

Lol, buying an arduino card is some work yeah.
Where do you see theories ?
If you undo minimal patches XeBuild won't build your image, it's not a theory, I did the test.

You can remove the kernel/hv patches from the .bin and xebuild will produce an image.

Yes, so you keep minimal patches ( 2BL and 4BL ), without these patches XeBuild will return an error.

Yeah, try writing to some null space that isn't used. Take Dwack Dwack 's advice and go a little more simplistic.
I'm building my patch and adding it to XeBuild but my xbox won't boot, I have only access to XeLL, I have added my hex values at the end of the original patches, before 0xFFFFFFFF

This could be the result of many things. Where are you patching the code? Did you remove any other patches?

You can buy the Xecuter NandX Update cable (http://www.xconsoles.com/products/tx-jrunner-usb-comms-cable.html)

Yellow = TX
Blue = RX
Green = Ground

Same way the DemoN uses the UART.
Would be much easier to simply use an Arduino if he has one, or any USB to TLL Serial. That is simply pointless and I do believe you would need some software to get input/output (DemoN Toolbox). If he just uses normal stuff he can use any com monitor (ex: putty). https://www.sparkfun.com/products/12731 Open your mind to other hardware than what Team Xecuter sells, because quite honestly its not that good.
You don't even need that, really. It's optional.
Haha true but its much easier. Plus I would take out the custom HvxGetVersions patch so you would have to use expansion calls?

How would that be simpler.. and it's $15 vs $3.40, J-Runner has monitoring built in.

Read what I said above. Not trying to argue. If its price your worried about then go on ebay lol
Having a USB to Serial board is much more useful in the future than having a wire.

More often than not, price dictates the quality of the item.
