attach a picture of where the wires solder to that way i can tell you what your SMC is, also you have to use nandpro or JTAG tool (better for newbies) to we-write your original nand. But here is a better way. Download JTAG tool and open it select your console type and LPT then select write xellous (xellous not xell) then rename your flashdump to updflash.bin and place it on the root of a usb drive, plug in your usb drive and xellous wi;; boot and write the nand on the usb drive. This is much quicker than LPT. Also make sure you write your flashdmp not your original nand. This will return it to how it was before.

So the stock NAND flash appears to have worked
    The console now boots again!
what is my next step? xell then the new update?

okay, i will attempt to post a picture of the wiring, what is the best method to post a picture here?

(picture i posted was not accurate)
i have a wire going to the power button board

your smc is stock if you have wiring going to the Ring Of Light/RF board

interesting, thats what i choose for the update and it still failed :(
well, i guess i will give it another try (made a new file)

Can i write this file directly to the NAND via lpt with the command
    nandpro lpt: -w512 Updflash.bin
    ?

well i flashed an old (known working build) to the nand, xell

if i get everything running, i will probably re-do the wiring in there
its as if a 5 year old had a hot glue gun and a soldering iron

yeah, i tried using xell, 2 usb drives and a cdrom drive and it just ignores the files....
i went ahead and started the update patch
    hopefully this works....
we will see in a few hours

on a side note, doing the dash update, do i need protected fuses? (i didn't do this though)

    time for dash launch

alright, after a bit of messing around, i got dashlaunch re-loaded and my xbox is working fine again
    (also the update worked)

    Thank you dr. Death

    are you serious or trolling?

if you go into network settings you can configure your ip address etc in there but i don't know why dhcp isn't working, sounds like a network issue

make sure your usb drive is large enough to store your nand dump, and once dumping has started do not press any buttons until it has done.

Someone told me all I have to do is delete the "system update" folder and patch the default.xex file with x360gamehack would this work? and if so could u tell me what I need "checked" before I hit "fix" on x360GameHack because I have it open and I dont know what to have checked or unchecked before patching it. (thank u)

I ended up going with static ip addressing
i still have to load the stock dash and mess with networking to get it to work then re-boot into freestyle
but its not like im using the network every day
it would be nice if it just grabbed its ip normally

The game is supposedly XGD2... but hey I dont know how to patch it correctly, I loaded up the default.xex and patched it using the default settings on x360gamehack but it didn't work, it just said "cannot read disc..."... do you know what settings I need to use when I patch? Or does that mean it doesnt work?

Let me tell you from the beginning what happened, i downloaded a new iso (works for everyone else fine), i didnt have a disc so i decided to just install it to my hd since I have a jtag. I then extracted the files to my HD then tried to boot it up, it said something about "this game requires an update to play...." I did the update then it took me back to the dashboard saying "the disc cannot be read" so then I found out that I needed to patch the default.xex file. So thats when I deleted the system update folders and loaded up the default.xex and patched it using the default settings on x360gamehack but it didn't work, it just said "cannot read disc..." then I even tried it with different setting that a friend told me to use, still nothing. I really need help because I dont know whats going wrong?

My friend just told me I just lost my Jtag by updating is that true? and how do I do a dash launch there is no option when I go to game library (im a noob as u can see)... he also asked me if i had the original firmware but I dont know what that is since I brought it from some guy (its a falcon) all I got is the system and HD... could the original firmware be on the HD? If so what would the files look like? Or is he wrong about me ruining my jtag? (sorry for all the questions I really confused right now)

search google for dashlaunch (easy to find) and put it on a usb drive, run xexmenu and run dashlaunch and install it. And no you will only "lose" you jtag if you update using the official MS update

Ok first of all let me say thanks for the help... Now for some reason sh*t doesnt never seem to work out for me as I want them to... Over the past 2 hours, I've downloaded and installed dash launch v. 2.25, 2.24, 2.23, 2.22 then I saw that my kernel was 9199 so then I tried 2.21 and it went through but nothing happened... On the dashboard in game library theres still no games, then I tried 2.20 and nothing still... I even installed Freestyle Dash during all of this and it installed just fine... what am I doing wrong?

no games? you cant just launch ripped 360 games from the NXE dashboard you can either use xex menu or freestyle dash and use the file explorer in that. find the game you want and launch the default.xex and dashlaunch is a system patch, not a application.

Ohhh I see now... but damn still didnt work. From freestyle dash I went into "file manager" and chose the default.xex of the game, screen went black for a second and then I got "The game could not start. Please download the game again" Any more ideas of what could be the problem?
