I've been considering purchasing a Pen Touch Tablet. Does anyone own one, would it be worth it?

I have one and I use it for more detailed brush work in Ps but that's about it. Get a cheap one to start with to see if you use it and then go from there.Possibly brushing in illustrator. I'm not really much of an illustrator, but I've heard some people see it more comfortable even when doing non-illustrative work.. I wonder if that's true.

Nope. Only really use it if I'm not feeling lazy to get it out because I've got a smaller workspace. When I do use it though I get some good results.Nice man, do you tend to use it as much as you hoped?

For design, IMO, you are better of with a mouse because you can be more precise with placement and location of things. Tablets are better if you are making signatures like some of the things I've made in the past because you can get smoother movements for lighting and blending.Sorry to bombard you with questions- I honestly haven't got the chance to talk to someone about them.
When I read reviews, everyone said they were great.. However, I feel those were digital artists more than graphic designers.. Concerning the graphic design aspect of your work; do you think it'd be worth it? Or should I stick with the old fashioned mouse?
I truly feel I'd experiment with it often, maybe even attempt to get into illustration, but I honestly have no skills with it comes to the traditional method of drawing. I sometimes sketch smaller details into photo manipulations when needed, but not the large details.
BTW, the signature I've been seeing on your works looks nice. Seems a tablet would have a lot of beneficial values for odds and ends. If I did get something- I'd probably invest in something cheaper (like you) to see what it's like.
