Looks like a great console, I’d love to get one but at the same time I want to start saving for the next Xbox.
That l a great idea, they want it to be hacked so it will get attention from modders/developers . I really hope that they consider allowing emulators to be played on it and that certain games will be exclusive to this console to allow new game designers to bypass the corrupt competition. Hopefully they will add more memory to the device as 8 gig seems a bit small
$99? That seems really cheap for what it is. I wonder whether it costs more to manufacture them than they cost.

This is never going to work out as planned. They won't be able to hit that price point with those specs, nor will the hit their expected release date.
And why not? The Nexus7 is $199, you would be amazed how much displays and batterys on tablets cost. This is basically a nexus7 without a display or battery.
Display is about 50$ right? And Batery is like 40$, so they should be able to sell it for 100$-120$ and still make profit!
This definitely sounds like an awesome lil console, but 8GB? Not enough for a guy like me. Hopefully there'll be a way to increase that.
Most things that are expensive are actually quite cheap to make. Look at the iPhone 4, not iPhone 4S idk how much that is, but an iPhone 4 costs about 128-150 to make. So I'm sure a iPhone 4S is around 150 as well.
Very true. So, in the long run, it will cost me more than $100. Especially if Ouya pulls a Sony and makes their own SDs that just happen to be way overpriced...
Those take up space, if their idea is to make this thing as small as possible, why would having a usb HDD hanging around or a flash drive sticking out the side a good idea? MicroSD is just as cheap and can be put inside the unit.
In guessing games will be downloaded right? If so 8gb is nothing, or are they gonna bring back tiny discs like the old gamecube?
