Pretty self explanatory, i'll update this thread whenever the more recent drivers are released. Along with the change log, and whatever cards they support. These drivers will be labeled as "beta" or "WHQL Certified" Beta is well beta, and the WHQL certified are the official drivers released. When new drivers are released the old ones information will be put into a spoiler.

Also EVERYTHING here is not being typed up by myself, so i take no credit for it. I'm simply copying and pasting so users here can be kept up to date

***DISCLAIMER: You install these drivers under your own free will, se7ensins nor I or anybody else is responsible for what happens before, during, or after installing these drivers. Should anything happen, you may ask for assistance in solving any issues, but you may not blame myself, se7ensins, or anybody else.***

***By installing beta drivers you accept that performance may or may not increase, and you may or may not have issues***

AMD CAP Profiles Located In The Second Post! Install those after installing the driver!

AMD today launched the new AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition. AMD Radeon Software (Crimson Edition) will replace the good old Catalyst software. These new editions (Crimson as in a shade of red) will be renamed from time to time, every time named after a shade of red.

The new driver itself is called "AMD Radeon Software" and has been build from ground up in QT. Crimson replaces the Catalyst Control Center software with a faster, more diverse utility called Radeon Settings.

. It's fast in startup, has had a massive GUI change and introduces some new features including stuff from shader caching to DX9 frame pacing enhancements. AMD is committed to release up-to 6 major WHQL driver released per year with interim Beta and Hotfix releases as well.

AMD - We have been delivering graphics drivers for the past 20+ years, and during this time the graphics driver evolved way beyond the graphics device driver. It’s more than just a driver. It’s a whole range of software, and we know how important the software experience is to gamers, game developers, professionals, and others who use our products every day.

Now we have user interfaces, libraries, tools, applications, packaged as what we call drivers. This great set of software has evolved into a mini graphics Operating System. With the formation of Radeon Technologies Group, we have decided to call this mini graphics Operating System “Radeon Software”.

This means we will be retiring AMD Catalyst. This marks the end of an era, and the beginning of a new age of immersive computing where we will be surrounded by billions of brilliant pixels that enhance our daily lives in ways we have yet to fully comprehend. The new era is dawning as November 24th marks the release of Radeon Software Crimson Edition.

The change is all-encompassing. We’ve re-designed and re-architected what was previously known as AMD Catalyst Control Center (CCC), and named it Radeon/FirePro Settings. With the new design, we focused on experience, form and function. You’ll see how the new Radeon/FirePro Settings has a modern user interface that is simple and clean, is intuitive to use, and has a significantly faster start up than its predecessor. It also has new features:

  • Game Manager
  • Video Quality presets
  • Social Media integration
  • Simplified EF setup
  • System notifications tab
Todays released AMD Radeon Software Will also add FreeSync support for DirectX 9 titles and a new feature called Low Framerate compensations. E.g. the second your FreeSync monitor falls outside of its maximum or minimum dynamic range, it'll VSYNC the monitor. For DirectX 9 titles there's some more candy as Frame Pacing has been improved here as well.

AMD claims up to six major WHQL Radeon Software releases in 2016, along with additional beta and hot-fix releases.

How to install these drivers:
-Its pretty straight forward actually.
1. Run the .exe file
*Optional: Uninstall the old drivers. Some say to uninstall the old ones first, some say don't. Personally i don't and have never had any issues.*
2. Select either 'express' or 'custom' install.
-i personally use express because it won't cause any harm.
-Make sure to install the drivers onto the same drive that your OS is on.
3. It'll go through the process of installing, your screen will flicker a few times.
4. Reboot immediately after installing.
5. OPTIONAL: Navigate to your "C" drive or Operating system drive and find the "AMD" folder on the root of the drive. Then delete the old driver folder. Reason being is that the older drivers won't be used anymore and it'll free up a little space. I've done it countless times without issues.

Might as well right? The download links will ALWAYS go to 'official' links for the drivers. But i'll post the links, changelog, etc all here

Just makes it easier XD, Also, for my new PC should I clean install Windows 8? If so, how can I go about formatting my drive? I don't have a computer to stick my hdd in, so does it prompt like a format? I will backup obviously my files I need.

I believe when you install it it'll ask you if you wanna keep any previous data or not and you'd just say no. But i could be wrong when i installed mine it was on a brand new drive. As far as i what i recommend, yes i would recommend it only because it'll prevent possible issues down the road.

Yeah, I know, I just didn't wanna go through downloading BF3 20GBs of stuff again :/ But I guess it's for the better. Also, I needed a reconfirm of that Format option or something

Well if you have multiple drives then just save your games on a separate HDD or SSD. That's what i do.

How would I go about doing this? copying the the entire directory? e.g. Steam?
Go into steam ---> settings ----> Downloads and Cloud -----> Steam Library Folders ----> Add folder.

Then just copy whatever you want over. Or just copy the entire directory.

Copy and paste the battlefield 3 folder somewhere then reinstall origin on a different drive. Then start dling battlefield 3, then exit origin and paste everything from the original folder into the newly created one.
