Hey guys, I've run into a problem. I was wanting to use a trainer for a game, and it activates, but nothing works at all. I've tried this on 4 different games, each being the correct version of trainer, and even ran it in compatibility mode and admin, but still, nothing works. Is it Windows 8 not being compatible with most trainers? Is there a fix, or will I have to go back to Windows 7 if I want to use all my favorite game trainers?

Do you have .net 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 installed?

I have up to 3.5 installed, but not 4.0, I'll try downloading that and see if it changes anything. On another note, I did get a single trainer to work by turning off my anti-virus, putting it into Windows 7 compatibility mode, and running as admin, but that was only one, and the rest didn't work at all still

Well, it turns out it already had the Net Framework version installed, but I'm using Commodo Antivirus, could that have anything to do with it?

I had the same issue when I had Windows 8 where the Function Keys wouldn't work but you could activate the trainer. After about 2 days of googling, said screw it and reverted back to Windows 7. Windows 8 is the biggest POS since Vista.

Windows 8 actually isn't that bad if you mod it a bit. It's actually about 10-15% faster than 7.
Don't get me wrong, I like 7 much better, but people bag on W8 and 8.1 way too much.

i dont seem to need them anymore i just use the tiles now
Lol, I use StartMenu8 or Start8 and never open the apps menu. I did before W8 came out, when I was rocking the preview/beta, but after a few months past release it lost it's luster.

After a little research, it appears most trainers were made for Windows 7, so they won't work on Windows 8.1, I noticed CheatHappens commented on the matter and they had to go back and update all trainers to work with Windows 8, so I guess that means new game trainers will works with 8.1, older ones will not
