This is how to reduce lag in Minecraft. This is very simple and anyone can do it, it doesn't make it perfect but does reduce the jumpiness and lag. Ok, Lets Get Started 1. Open Up Minecraft. 2. Load your world, and press "Escape" Then "Options" 3. Have the settings the way i do. And make sure your Minecraft is full screen, (Runs Better) Graphics on "Fast" NOT "Fancy": What fancy does it enhances the graphics making it look better but not run better, so with it on fast it will run faster and look pretty much the same. Render Distance: This is how far away you can see so if it was on far you could see a lot further than if it was on tiny, but being on tiny it will reduce the amount of graphics having to be produced at that time. Minecraft On Full-screen: What this does it space the game out more and its not all squashed up so it does make it look better on Full-screen and it also runs smother with not jumpiness and lag. This is what i use, and it does make a big difference.
Download game booster, and Advanced SystemCare 3, game booster shuts down unnecessary processes that chew up ram, and ASC3 helps to clean up your computer. Defraggler helps with defragging, which will also increase speed in MC (and your computer in general) Edit: I'm not sure, but view bobbing may also cause lag. I keep it off, but experiment with it.
This reduced the lag a lot, so I +1'd this post. Thank you. I still have a lot of lag though. Is there anything else I can do about it? Here's information on my notebook: Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5750 @ 2.00GHz 2.00 GHz Memory (RAM): 3.00 GB System Type : 32-bit Operating System
Thanks, I'll try that. If it works I'll edit my post to let you know. EDIT: It reduced it a little. The longer I played, the more it would lag. Is the creator of this game trying to fix this problem, if that is possible?
Uhm i dont think so its mainly your computer i think, as it has a big world to generate. The more intese the world is the more lag, World 1 works best I dont know why it just does for me.
How to further your less lag: Defrag your computer (use defraggler). Use 3 times if you haven't done it within 6 mo. or more. Once if less, and defrag every mo. after. Download Game Booster. It shuts down unnecessary processes that chew up space on your hard drive. Restarts those processes once either turned back to normal mode or closed. Download an FPS counter so you see difference. Play in full screen mode (f11 is default), it lets your computer focus on one thing. Exit ALL unnecessary programs (web-browsers unless viewing helpful MC page, other background programs). Hope I helped.
I heard that short render distance is better than tiny, because the refresh rate is higher and it's constantly generating new blocks, which in turn creates more lag.
Also Download Optifine. Its tells you what will reduce lagg and my 2004 comp can run it with mininal lag your computers should be able to run it better Happy Crafting
