Like some guy posted on the video, use an LED or something. It doesn't HAVE to be a 5 volt, just recommended.

managed to find a 5v diode and a LED i tried the 5v diode first pluged it into the PC, nothing went to device manager to search for unknown devices it picked up nothing * haven't installed the drivers yet wanted to make sure i soldered properly first * after a while of soldering and soldering switching diodes and leds still got noting. now im wondering if u ever experienced this and have any advice

i tried to install the drivers prior to making this reply but it kept telling me that installation files are missing or damaged. but at this point that shouldnt matter cause it should still show me that an unrecognized usb is attached right?

Thanks alot for reposting this!!I have looked and looked for an alternative to the overpriced crap they sell.I had several rf boards collecting dust..I used a diode from my jtag stash..a 1n4148 and it worked..only thing was i had to manually install the driver as it came up unrecognized device...after that worked great!!!

Why buy something when you have parts laying around to make one with!! The most you've lost is a little time?So far ive seen no issues with it and has logged about 8hrs on dead space.
