How to install gateway 3ds omega 2.4b for emunand 9.0?

Installation tutorial of gateway 3ds omega 2.4b!

Prerequisites:

- Gateway 3DS card (blue card + red card)
- Nintendo 3DS/3DS™ XL console with 4.1.0 minimum <-> 4.5.0 maximum firmware
- SD/SDHC memory card with 2GB minimum capacity
- Original MicroSD/SDHC™ memory card with 128GB maximum capacity
- GW OMEGA v2.4b

The following instructions require that:
- The console has a firmware included ONLY between 4.1 and 4.5.
- The console can connect to the Internet network via a WiFi connection



Tutorial procedures:

1. Download gateway omega 2.4b from gateway official website, copy the “launcher.dat” file from “GW_OMEGA_2.3_PRIVATE_BETA” folder to the root of sd card!

Insert the SD card into your 3ds console!



2. Micro sd card, FAT32 (blue card):

Download gateway omega 2.4b from gateway official website! Copy the contents of the “Blue Card (R4i)” to the root of micro sd card!

Insert the micro sd card into blue card!



3. MicroSD Card, exFAT (red card):

Copy some 3ds games and put them into micro sd card!

Insert micro sd card into gateway red card!

NB: One microSD/SDHC can be used for the 2 cards (blue and red), but be careful to formatting it that differs from one card to another.



4. Boot gateway blue card

1. Turn on the console (POWER button) with the blue card in place
2. From the menu, select the icon corresponding to the linker (Deep Labyrinth Atlus USA, Inc.)
3. On the linker menu, select the “microSD Card” icon and then the “GATEWAY INSTALLER” icon whenever pressing the “A” button
4. Press “A” to start installing the patch and then select the area of the console
5. After the patch is applied, press “A” and the “POWER” button to turn off the console



5. Go to gateway system menu

1. Turn on the console (POWER button) without the red card
2. From the menu, go to System Settings -> Other Settings -> Profile -> Nintendo DS Profile
3. The Gateway’s menu appears



6. Backup NAND

1. From the Gateway’s menu, select “BACKUP SYSTEM NAND” icon and press “A”
2. Press the “START” button to begin copying
3. After copying is complete, press “A”
4. Leave press the “POWER” button during 10 seconds
5. Once the console off, remove the internal SD card and copy the “NAND.bin” file and all your other important files (pictures + savegames) on your computer
6. When finished, put the SD card into the console



7. Emunand formatting and update

1. Turn on the console (POWER button) without the red card
2. From the menu, go to System Settings -> Other Settings -> Profile -> Nintendo DS Profile
3. From the Gateway’s menu, select “FORMAT EMUNAND” icon and press “A”
4. Press the “START” button to begin formatting
5. Once the formatting is complete, press “A”
6. Insert the red card and select the “BOOT GATEWAY MODE” icon and press “A”
7. The console will reboot in GW mode
8. From the console menu, go to “Settings” and check the version of the console that should be GW3D 4.x.0-xxE/U/J
9. Got to Internet Settings -> Connection Settings -> Create/select a connection, then press “Back”
10. Go to Other Settings -> System Update and press “OK” and accept the Terms of Use
11. Once the update is complete, press “OK” to restart the console on original NAND
12. The update of EmuNAND ended



CAUTION: Be sure to be in EmuNAND mode before attempting to update the console ! UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you update the console in “normal” mode otherwise permanently lose the ability to use a native 3DS linker. To be sure, once in EmuNAND mode, change the menu appearance to make it different from the one of normal mode and then go to the console settings, it must give you “GW3D x.xx.x” as version instead of “Ver x.xx.x”. Once version is confirmed, just update the console via WiFi network. Thereafter, at each restart in EmuNAND mode, the menu appearance will be changed and clearly identifiable.



8. Launch of 3ds game in GW mode

1. The console must be on and the red card must be inserted into the console
2. From the menu, go to System Settings -> Other Settings -> Profile -> Nintendo DS Profile
3. The console will reboot in GW mode
4. From the console menu, press the “SELECT” button to display the list of games
5. Navigation is done with the directional “<-” and “->” buttons (and “L” and “R” buttons too), selection with the “A” button, cancellation with the “B” button
6. After selecting the game, it appears in the menu and can be launched using the stylus or the “A” button
