Posted in the other thread, but I figured I'll post it here to get maximum coverage

Problem: I just bought a WD Scorpio Black Edition 250 gig (the same one listed above), only problem is that hddhackr will not recognize it. I'm using a SATA II card, and I currently have my 1TB connected to it and it works amazing. This is the second hard drive that I have had this problem with. Please, someone help me! I would love to get this hard drive up and running soon!

What version of HDDHackr are you using and what type of SATA controller do you have?

you would have to buy a ~30$ converter to do that.
are you sure you dont? because your computer has to be ancient not to have sata, in which case you might need to be concerned with how long the process takes.

since youre booting from a usb, you CAN unplug your hard drive running your operating system btw.

and yes, that ready for xbox msg wasnt there for me either, but its assumed...

if your drive doesnt show up on your xbox you may not have formatted it. its sorta the last step which can be easy to forget >.>

    Well, I have a WD 500gb HD.
And so this wouldn't work on my 500gb?

will this create the appropriate partition (partition 2 i think?) to play xbox 1 games? I hacked a 120gb drive last year with hddhackr and it took me a while to realize that i couldn't play original games because the flashing/partition process didn't create the correct partition.

I typed in the commands manually [ HDDHACKR F 0960 A0 hddss.bin undo.bin] and it said flashed successfully turn PC off and reboot from usb. So i did that but seeing as i need to type it in manually what do i put in for it to say its ready for the xbox? I tried [HDDHACKR F 0960 A0] but said source or whatever was missing. Any help?

never mind i fixed it well not really i didnt have to plug it back into the computer after all just put it in the xbox and formatted thanks a lot man. 55$ 250GB HDD not bad at all lol.

can someone check the compatibility of original xbox games?

for the record, this does not work with original xbox games. I just finished flashing and was disappointed...
looks like it's hex edit time for me..
