Well, I argue the same points over and over while so do others with their points, when it even says in bungie the game "learns" your hosting ability, I mean, you can't get much CLEARER than that! Read bungie's forums too! It explains a lot...

Im not saying that they don't monitor your connection over time and then dub your speed and how much you can get host, but that doesn't argue that people who standby for host loads of times in a row get host banned. Trust me, with my connection I should of got host ONCE in the last week, especially with all the training games i played

okay basically this is what is going on

They now have a more intellegent network that recognizes your connection it used to be before the updates that people who are able to connect to everyone would get host but after the update whats happening is people who have the best connection are now getting host i have heard of xbox MAC address bans being handed out but not from stopping you from getting host

Yeah, see the thing for me is that I always used to get host, and before I put my mods on my 360, I got host all the time in double team. Now since I put my mods on I never get host, even if I take them off I never get host, anyway cuz you cant mod in matchmaking. (which I love) But today I got standbyed 2 times in slayer and I lost my 38. But yeah I hate people who standby or cheat for a number in a game.

one thing wrong with your "theory"...

they can host ban you. Bungie moniters every game on hundreds of computers. You get matched up by your xbox's ip, not by your internet connection. WHen you standby for host, they see your xbox's ip stop internet flow. WHen they see this they ban you from getting host if u do it excessivly. They dont care if other people are on the xbox, they dont want you making other accounts. Trust me, ive been bridging and cheating for over a year now.

See banned and suspension relates to a period of time, and they didn't place either one on you.

    Its more complex than that.

here we go spears, lets explain this, i stndby for host like, 10 games, dont get host for THREE MONTHS at all.

I go swap xboxs, but keep the same HDD and gt, and get host 6 out of the next 10 games...

Ill be waiting for your explanation.....ready?....go!

I'm not saying they have done it, but they could disallow your IP from getting host. It would just take server side XBL modifications. Its not impossible at all.
And about your internal ip, no one can see it. All information is gone when it hits the router and the router deals with it.

And if 1 out of 8 "lucky" people get host ban, how is it fake? That just means people are mistaking.

wtf would u know? it has to be the eeprom if its console based thats the only other ID that is unique amongst xbox's besides harddrive. i bet if you flashed the eeprom of a host banned xbox with eeprom of one that is not you will unbanned, same way you become unbanned from xbox live u dumba**.

Other theory is that they ban the MAC address of the network adapter of the xbox which is also unique take ur pick, but u prob dont know that when you flash the eeprom it also changes your MAC address of the network adapter to the one you got the eeprom image file from now do u?

btw u can only flash the epprom of the xbox 1 not 360
