Ok, most of you all know i just tried out for the GFX team and got declined because i need a bit more work, mostly on my text. i was wondering if you guys have any great font packages and some good tutorials. Thanks
i would probably help you but i cant see any work cause u didn't post it and ur sigs are even deleted on photobucket.
I posted my tryout, you can find it at http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/gfx-team-tryouts/20582-my-tryout.html and im gonna fix my sig, sorry about that
Your text stands out too much, almost as much as your renders. Try black or white text(depending on sig) and change it to soflight or overlay and duplicate it if it's not visible enough.
ok heres my thoughts. font is the most important thing about the text. on a sexy girl sig, most the time it will look better to put a script or fancy font rather than a bold one. try usin diff font and color or mix colors even in the same word. sometimes, i put a white fancy t and then maybe a red bold trizzle spelling trizzle. try some of those things. one more thing is dont put a drop shadow if there is no depth to the sig. as for outerglow, that varies between diff sigs. hope this helps.
My font pack that I uploaded here has alot of good fonts in it. It's in the graphics download section. Also, here are two tutorials I found at my favorite gfx site. Text Tutorial - Guild Inn - Gaming GFX Site Make your text suit your sig - Guild Inn - Gaming GFX Site
srry, i really dont like that tut at all. all it really says is a few basic things like what flow and color scheme is and to only use very basic fonts. thats not always true. use the font that fits your sig.
Well it's a very basic tutorial. I havn't come across an advanced yet. See, i'm pretty good with text. It's just because I see really good people's signatures and I add that style to mine. Or I just add them then put it in a different order, or use two different fonts. Barely ever use bright colors. Dull browns, greys, black and white work the best. Also, don't make it very big. Simple fonts are always better, but sometimes your sig calls for something a bit more risque.
Dunno. Those sometimes work. I find it softlight and overlay don't work, I set the text's opacity on 64% and the fill on 50%. That gives it a nice clean look. Also, if in doubt, you can use an eraser grunge brush.
